Had fun with the twins today, and had fun being a little creative with their birthday invitations!
Mr. Luke sporting several different looks. Such a stud! And I get to nanny this little tike :)
M.I.A.
You may have noticed that my photography business has been M.I.A. for a couple months.
This past November, the house I live in with my then-fiance had been burglarized, and among the many valuable and sentimental items stolen was my computer, which I store and edit all of my photos on. Luckily the external hard drive that I store all of my photography files on was not stolen, and neither were my cameras!
Unfortunately, with lack of a computer and only 2 more months to finalize all of my D.I.Y. wedding planning, I had to put photography on a hold.
But not for long! I have been getting so antsy that I cannot wait to get back in action.
Just a few more weeks and I will be snapping some more pics! FINALLY.
P.S.
Moral of the story:
1. Always insure your valuables. (Have pictures of them too!)
2. Have a safe. Don’t leave your valuables lying around.
3. Have an alarm system.
4. Get to know your neighbors so they can look out for you and your home and you can return the favor for them.
My newest hobby: cooking! Sunday morning I decided to (for my first time) make mini-quiches with sausage, mushrooms, and swiss cheese along with breakftast potatoes. Yummm
Precious two-month-old Jack was a pleasure to photograph, especially in a beautiful home with gorgeous antique dark wood floors that complimented the antique box I had bought for the shoot just a day before. Such as weet baby boy and a wonderful family to work with; congratulations Leedoms!
2 adults + 2 two-year-old girls + a 2 month old baby boy = almost impossible to keep everyone in the same place looking straight at the camera with a holiday smile, but we managed to get a few great shots out of a wild and crazy photoshoot!
My favorite picture? The third one because it encompasses the daily life of this great family. Gotta love the chaos that keeps you on your toes :)
Morning dew, I love you.
The kitchen of our house sold it for me when we were in the searching process to buy a home. It’s such a unique kitchen with tile colors that you probably would never think to put together, and a bright red door that ties it all in. Even though we haven’t finished our little restorations the kitchen (replacing and painting the trim, replacing the floor, getting a dishwasher, etc.), I still love our kitchen, the good and the bad. I’m a little sad that we might tear it all down, even the left wall to expand the kitchen and redue everything in it, so I had to document how it is today.
Today I stayed at home sick and was inspired by the fall lighting coming through our kitchen windows to shoot some pictures of my favorite place in our house. Enjoy :)
Congratulations to two wonderful people and friends Aaron Olsen and Claire Ellis on their engagement as of THIS MORNING! So honored to have been there to capture this amazing moment for them. Love love love!
My puppy and I got on TV! Kind of crazy. We were just tailgating at the UW football game last Saturday when ESPN U Roadtrip crew came up and decided to interview Buddha. HIGH5!
